Our 2018 Christmas Tour ...

Greetings, friends!

How in the world is Christmas only two weeks away?  I can't believe how fast this season has flown by!  Well, before the big day comes and goes, I wanted to share a bit of our home dressed up for the season.

This year, I added lots of traditional holiday colors to our foyer.

Since I didn't want to take our balloon print down for the holidays, I mixed in a bit of gold, dark pink and blue to the tree ... hopefully, it all ties in together.

Traditional colors continue in our kitchen ...

along with cute gingerbread trees and Santa, of course!

The whimsy spread into our breakfast room, too.  When my sweet hubby surprised me with two of these cute flocked trees, my first thought was to leave them untouched.  Well, that didn't last long because, somehow, gingerbread men, cookie cutter ornaments and "cookies" made their way onto them!

Festive red spread its way into our bedroom, too!  A fun change from the coastal blue that I normally add this time of year.

As much as I love the festive colors, I toned it down a bit in our great room and gave it a "Winter Wonderland" feel.

I kept the simple vibe going into our sitting room.  This is our "reason for the season" space, where I added a beautiful angel, the "star of Bethlehem," nativity, framed music sheets and a tree filled with musical note/instrument ornaments, angels and stars.

Of course, my favorite time of day during the holidays is night time ...

Nothing like a Christmas tree all aglow ...

or the beautiful blue evening sky ... perfect backdrop for our snowflakes and flocked wreaths.

I hope you all are enjoying a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends!

Merry Christmas!

LVP is the New MVP in our Basement Thanks to The Home Depot!

This post is sponsored by The Home Depot as part of their Pitch Partnership 2018.*

Greetings, friends!

For quite some time now, I've wanted to give our basement rec room a makeover, starting with the flooring.  While I liked our carpet, it was a bit lackluster and had welcomed accidentally spilled drinks and pizza into its lovely fibers on more than one occasion ... can you relate?  Needless to say, I was ready for something attractive, durable and DIY-friendly.  Thanks to The Home Depot (and their amazing TrafficMASTER Allure Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring) our rec room has a brand new look, and we absolutely love it!

BEFORE:  Bye bye carpet!

Just wait until you see the AFTER!  We still can't believe the transformation!

I hope you'll join me at The Home Depot's blog (just click/select HERE) where I'm sharing lots of pictures, along with my easy DIY installation process!

Have a great day!

Becca

Fall Home Tour Blog Hop ...

Happy September!

Fall is my favorite time of year, and I'm excited to be joining 11 amazing ladies as we share parts of our home ready to greet the new season!

If you're joining me from Lindsay's home (at Arataria Home), thank you so much for stopping by!  Isn't Lindsay's Autumn dining room simply gorgeous?  She is so talented!

Welcome to our Fall kitchen!

**For those viewing this post on their smartphone/tablet/ipad, the images may appear a bit grainy; however, if you tap on a photo, they will enlarge and appear much clearer.**

This year, I challenged myself to avoid the "shopping temptation" and use things I had on hand to decorate our kitchen for Fall.  So, I raided my cabinets/bins ... pulled out our copper pieces, along with a few other goodies ... and got busy!

I absolutely love copper, especially this time of year!  There's just something about it that reminds me that sweater weather is on the way!  On our kitchen island, I grouped this pretty hammered copper pitcher with faux Fall stems, Mr. Roo and simple white pumpkins.

Then, I pulled out a few green leaf plates and placed them on our shelves ...

and our wall rack.  I'm loving the copper, green and white together!

And what a fun surprise that I completely forgot I nabbed these copper measuring cups last year after the season (love when that happens)!  I knew as soon as I spotted them that they'd be perfect in our glass canisters!

These cute white ceramic pumpkins are from Target's Dollar Spot (last year) ... isn't it nice that Fall decorating doesn't have to break the bank?!

In fact, how easy is it to hang a dish towel (with seasonal color) on a hook and call it "done!"

Over by our coffee area, I grabbed another hammered cup I had on hand and plopped some spoons in it.  I love the bright reflections on the copper.

Lastly, for anyone who has seen my Fall decorating in years past, you'll know that our Fall family tree is a staple.

It's when I decorate a tree with Fall ornaments, family pics and familial sayings.

I like being *surrounded* by family ... especially this time of year!

Well, friends, I hope you enjoyed our simple Fall kitchen!

I truly appreciate your visit, and hope you'll stop back by in the days ahead as I share more of our Fall home!

The next stop on our Fall Tour Blog Hop is the beautiful and talented Sarah (Dreaming of Homemaking). Just wait until you see how she decked out their camper for Fall ... so inspiring!

And to visit all of the tours ...

Have a great day!

Easy Summer Styling Home Tour

Happy Summer, friends!  I'm so excited to be joining 16 amazingly talented ladies as we share parts of our home for a two day "Easy Summer Styling" blog hop!  A huge thank you to Kelly at The Tattered Pew for putting this all together!

If you're joining me from Bethany's home at Crisp Collective ... wasn't her Summer tour gorgeous and so inspiring?!

Welcome to my home!

**My apologies ... if viewing this post from your iphone/ipad, the pics will appear grainy ... please tap on the photos, and they'll appear nice and crisp!** ;)

Summer styling can be one of the easiest seasons to decorate for ... I promise!  It can be as simple as ...

adding a bouquet of seasonal florals or fruit to your island, countertops or table!

It can be as easy as pulling out pitchers, bowls or cups (that are crisp white or even full of color) and displaying them around your kitchen!

Summer styling can be as simple as setting out a few bottles of a delicious Summer drink, complete with whimsical straws!

Now I *know* you have pretty Summer linens tucked away in a drawer.  I say bring them out and set one by the sink ...

and/or display one on a hook for a pop of fresh texture.

Summer styling can be as easy as tucking greenery into a pitcher to create a simple vignette ...

or even bringing in colorful rugs to anchor your space(s)!

Summer styling can be as simple as displaying pretty plates on your wall!

And, hey, who says that a Summer bag is only for holding your wallet and car keys?

Here in our breakfast room, easy Summer styling continues with things I had on hand.

For the centerpiece, I filled a glass demi with faux seasonal branches ... can't get more simple than that, right?!

Lastly, Summer styling can be as easy as using napkin rings made from greenery ...

or even draping a pretty blanket over a chair or bench.  No matter your choice of colors, patterns or pieces, the best part is that I know you can do it beautifully with things you have on hand!

Well, friends ... I truly appreciate your visit, and hope I've given you a few tips along the way to help you create a Summer styled home, too!  Please join me in the days ahead as I share more of our home.

The next stop on our blog hop is my super talented friend Karan at Designs by Karan.  I know you'll love her Summer styled home as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by,

Becca
